Thomas le Claire Kunsthandel is specialised in drawings and watercolours, which range from the 16th to the early 20th century, carrying a varied stock in these specialist areas.
The company was founded in Hamburg in 1982. Since then, Thomas le Claire has been dealing in works in works by German artists such as Blechen, C. D. Friedrich, Schnorr von Carolsfeld, Hackert, Runge, Overbeck, Menzel and Liebermann. He also presents European artists from Italian, as well as from French, and Dutch and Flemish schools, such as Guilio Romano, Piranesi, Tiepolo, Watteau, Fragonard, Goltzius, Rubens and Jordaens.

Since 1998, he is also dealing in selected paintings and oil sketches by 18th and 19th century artists, including early plein air paintings and works by Danish artists from the Golden Age.
Thomas le Claire Kunsthandel serves an international client list which includes important museums throughout the world and major private collectors. Since 1983, annual catalogues had been published, which confirm passionate commitment to both quality and scholarship.
