From Paris to Chantilly…

At first Parisian, the Drawing Week extends from now on outside the capital.
The museums of Sèvres, Sceaux or Chantilly, now in turn open their collections of drawings to the public. These places are meant various as well as the drawings they show.

The drawing week offers this year, through museums visits, a new occasion to compare works from the past and contemporary works, attracting collectors and amateurs, insiders or beginners. And this will certainly allow the specialists to open a dialogue.

Every participating museum organizes for this occasion, a special exhibition, or private visit of their collections.

These private visits are free and open to everyone, but are subject to availability registrations are mandatory.

Georges Désvallières: Painting body and soul

This will be the artist's first retrospective, in honour of the publication of the catalogue raisonné compiled by Catherine Ambroselli de Bayser. Painting with a powerful yet refined style, Desvallières placed a great emphasis on the human figure, imbued with an ardent spirituality. Honoured in 1937 in the Masters of Independant Art exhibition at the Petit Palais, the works of this artist will once again be showcased on the walls of the Musée des Beaux-Arts of Paris.
