Masterworks of Architectural Drawing from the Albertina Museum
Cité de l'architecture & du patrimoine
From November 13, 2019 to March 16, 2020
Discover the Masterworks of Architectural Drawing from the Albertina Museum at la Cité de l’architecture & du patrimoine.
The exhibition features over a hundred drawings from the architectural collection of the Albertina Museum in Vienna. Brought together for the first time in France, these masterpieces provide insights into the history of architectural drawing from the Renaissance to the present day. The exhibition covers a period running from early 16th-century French and Italian Mannerism to late 20th-century deconstructivism, and this throughout Europe.
Drawings, because they are by nature fragile, are exhibited sparingly. This makes the presentation of these “treasures”, usually hidden away in the museum’s reserves, all the more exceptional!
