Pierre-Jean Mariette (1694-1774) was the greatest collector of drawings of his time, and remains one of the most famous today.

His collection of drawings, spanning different periods and countries, is one of the largest and most important in the history of art.

Pierre Rosenberg, a member of the Académie française and Honorary President-Director of the Musée du Louvre, has endeavored to reconstruct the collection and retrace its history.

On the first floor of the Louvre museum shop, the museum bookshop welcomes you in a light and bright space.

It presents more than 400 m2 dedicated to art books, exhibition catalogues, magazines and children's books, i.e. more than 14,000 references presented.
It also reveals the space of the museum's art workshops, moldings and prints.
